The song and video, “Turn Debt Into Hope” that KUCers George and Ben Johnson wrote for the KAIROS (and worldwide) Turn Debt Into Hope Jubilee Debt cancellation campaign has won its first accolade: Best Social Awareness Short Film at the Rohip International Film Festival in Kallal, Tamil Nadu, India. Thanks to KUCer Rob Gretsinger for his drum work, fellow musicians Jim Beeds, Dianne Bell and Owen Powers, and especially Peter Cameron-Inglis at Mastermind Studios, who produced the video.
Thank you to KUC and the Ross Styles Memorial Fund for your support! We are making a difference…

Global Committee members of KUC met with MP Frank Caputo on April 30th to present information regarding the international Jubilee debt cancellation initiative that culminated with a protest on Parliament Hill in late April when a Petition with 72,500 signatures, including yours, was presented to the House of Commons. We also requested MP Caputo read our Parliamentary Debt Cancellation petition (also signed by KUC members) in Parliament, which he agreed to do. He responded favourably to our presentation and thanked us for our engagement and initiative on this issue.
