On behalf of our congregation, the Kamloops United Church Sandra Zankpe Memorial Bursary, for $1500 will be awarded annually to an indigenous student studying at TRU. In October of 2014, Sandra Zankpe attended a Grief and Loss workshop offered by Pastoral Care. Following this, she developed a relationship with our church that afforded her just the right place in which to explore her Spirituality. She expressed often, that she felt safe, welcome, and respected at our church. Sandra died of cancer in September of 2019. She had left explicit instructions with her children that she wanted our church to officiate at her memorial service.

Esk’etemc (Alkali Lake). We ask that anyone wishing to contribute to this bursary do so through the church office.
