On June 29th, Charlene Sawers from Anderson’s Sewing Centre @ 213-141 Victoria Street came into Kamloops United Church and donated a Serger Machine to our Summer Sewing Program. Florence and the Summer Sewing Students had been in the store the day before to pick up the KUC sewing machines that had been there for maintenance and had longingly looked at the Serger, wishing that they had the budget to purchase it for the program. Charlene explained that she talked to her husband that night, and decided that the best thing to do was to come in the next day and donate the machine and several bobbins of thread.
Thank you, Charlene and Anderson’s Sewing Centre for your generosity and support.
