Memorial For 215+ | Le Estcwicwéy̓
Monday, May 23rd the Tk̓emlúps Pow Wow Arbour will be the scene of a special event marking one year since the announcement of the confirmation of Le Estcwicwe̓y̓ (The Missing).
This is a cultural event which is open to the public. It will feature events such as a Sunrise Ceremony, and reflections of the past year. There will be several Secwe´pemc cultural performances including pipe carriers, hand drumming, and jingle dress dancing.
KUC’s Reconciliation Exploration Circle (R.E.C.) encourages you to attend. (on your own or together)

If you would like to attend together, please contact Patricia at either s_p_mccoll@hotmail.com or 250-828-0157 by 7pm Thursday, May 19th (so we know how many passengers we have).
We will meet at KUC at 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 23rd. Four KUC people have offered to drive those who wish to travel together, to attend during the morning. Masking will be required in the vehicles. (We will return to KUC before lunch.)

Evening Entertainment, Closing Remarks, Farewell Song & Closing Prayer.
I will also have room for 3 passengers to attend the musical entertainment that is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.
Contact me by 7pm Thursday to make arrangements to attend this part of the memorial. We will meet at KUC at 5:30 pm and return after the 7pm Closing Remarks, Farewell Song and Closing Prayer.
