Camp Grafton NEWS!
Camp Grafton is getting ready to sweep away the cobwebs and polish up the cooking pots after a two-year pandemic hiatus. Registration for campers is well underway and hiring of staff has commenced.
On Sunday, May 15, you are invited to come out to Camp Grafton for a work party to help us get the camp ready to welcome campers back. Between 9 am – 3 pm on Sunday help is needed with general clean-up which includes sweeping, cleaning the kitchen, and forest floor pickup on the trails. Please bring your own lunch and drinking water (and work gloves if you have them). Onsite, check with Judy MacPherson or George Campbell to be assigned a task. The new Ablution Centre (wash house) has been delivered and will soon be connected to the new septic system, and a new bridge to the campfire is being installed. There are plans for future kitchen redevelopment too! Registration is brisk and the families are excited. Unfortunately, it was necessary to increase camp fees and the program committee did so with great care to ensure the summer programming would be supported.
As always, there are campers whose families need support with the camp fees. If you would like to make a donation to Camp Grafton, please visit the Camp Grafton website https://www.campgrafton.ca/ and click on the donations button.
If you prefer to send a cheque, please make it payable to the Camp Grafton Society. Tax receipts will be issued. You may indicate on your cheque if your donation is for camperships or site improvements.
