Volunteers needed for Merritt on Saturdays
Here is a note from Paris Perry, senior minister of the Nicola Valley Evangelical Church. KUC is part of a group of Kamloops Churches which have been meeting and providing assistance to Merritt through local churches in that community.
“As the snow has melted and the mud is thawing, we as a church have planned an initiative to help those in our community who are still wrestling with the flood.
Beginning March 19th and for four consecutive Saturdays, we hare running a program called
March In, Mud Out.
We will be going to homes and helping them move the mud that is in the yards and to haul it to the street. The city will come along and remove the mud if it is at the curb.
We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to sign up to help with this initiative.
If you could post this in your church information they can sign up online, or by calling the church’s office.

Thank you for the support you folks in Kamloops have been giving to our community.
