Chris with Shelley Joyce, then come by KUC for PIE!
CBC Daybreak with Shelley Joyce will be interviewing Chris Dolson on March 14th, Monday morning!
Here is just a little reminder from the Affirming Ministry at Kamloops United that we are looking forward to seeing lots of folks and giving away lots of tarts on March 14. I hope that you will join us, and circulate this invitation widely in your networks.
Sincerely! Chris Dolson (she/her)
PIE! PIE! PIE! Tarts! Tarts! Tarts!
If you like tarts, and you love PIE…stop by at KUC on Monday, March 14, 11:30-1:30.
There will be tarts, rainbows, and smiles for everyone. Our bakers have been busy and this year on National Affirming PIE Day, we are celebrating Kamloops United BEING PIE* (*Public – Intentional – Explicit) by sharing the Love and a tart for everyone! The theme for this year’s annual National Affirming PIE Day is “Everyone Gets a Slice”.
Affirming communities of faith like Kamloops United are asked to look at the LGBTQIA2S+ acronym which represents an endless diversity of identities and expressions and acknowledge that some of the people represented by these letters often tend to get left out or underserved. We are invited to consider which folks we may not have included and take strides to remedy that.Everyone Gets a Slice! And on Monday, everyone is invited to come to the front steps at 421 St. Paul Street to receive their tart. (and we do mean everyone!)For more information about National Affirming PIE Day, visit https://pieday.ca/
