This Sunday we celebrate Louis Riel Day and commemorate Métis History and Culture in Canada. We are blessed with an excellent opportunity to take a step forward with Reconciliation by learning more about one of the three Indigenous Peoples of Canada. Join us for prayers offered by Métis Elder Patrick Savard who is on the Michif Elder’s Council at Lii Michif Optipemisiwak (LMO) in Kamloops. Métis Elder Sandi Hendry, a member of the Elder In Residence Program at Thompson Rivers University, presents the History and Culture portion of the service. Tomas Bijok, KUC Music Director, leads the hymns and Dr. Caveney offers the Reflection titled “Uncovered”.
