Pride Won’t Hide: Oct. 16
Come out and support the Kamloops Trans* Community!
Saturday, October 16th at 3 p.m. at the Riverside Bandshell.
The goal of this gathering is to show support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Kamloops due to the recent hate crime in the area. Participants will be gathering at the bandshell at Riverside Park and there will be a couple of guest speakers before going on a parade around downtown looping back to the park.
Please come out to show your support in any way you can. Make signs, rock your rainbows or any other way you want to show off your pride. We also would like people to be Covid conscious and state that masks are encouraged.
Editor’s note: KUC will be there, with our banner showing who we are and that we are Affirming. Come be the “face of KUC” in the community.
Here is an interesting read from this spring: “Transgender people are far more attuned than most of us to the reality that we human beings are a complex, mysterious, body-spirit creation of God, and they want nothing more than to honor that reality.”
