Informal Visioning Feedback (Council Circle)
KUC’s Council Circle is tasked with the work of keeping the visioning for Kamloops United Church, Centre for Community and Spiritual Discovery, moving forward. To that end, we had started a process with a facilitator, Amanda Fenton, in January/February of 2020 to look at our Vision, Mission and Values to determine whether or not we needed to make some course adjustments. As you know, that process was brought to a sudden halt by the onset of the Covid pandemic. After a year of living “differently” with on-line services, a mostly closed facility, and the advent of meetings by Zoom, it was decided that we needed to do a “temperature” check with the congregation to see how we have changed.
This wasn’t a formal process, merely an invitation for those to provide feedback in two Zoom sessions and also in written format. There were just over 20 enthusiastic respondents and the summary of their input is attached. They were asked to look at what we should continue to do? what should we stop and re-think? and what should we start or restart? Please have a review of their valuable responses and feel free to add any additional thoughts by emailing Joanna at office@kamloopsunited.ca. As mentioned, this was just an informal look at where we are at currently. A more formalized process will be initiated early in 2022.We are SO looking forward to being back together in September! In the meantime, stay safe!
