Minister’s Message for June 27
Minister’s Message
As we slip into “summer mode” in the church, there is still lots of activity at Kamloops United Church. The Thrift Shop is open and very busy. The PIT Stop meal programme continues with take out meals each week. We have students working with online sales in the Thrift Shop, sewing masks and bags and tuning up our computer systems.
Every Sunday morning, you will be sent a link to that week’s worship service. If you miss the link, you can always go to Kamloops United Church YouTube and you will see all of the videos there.
Florence, Joanna and I will be taking vacation at various times over the next couple of months, but there will always be someone in the church office each day and pastoral care coverage will be arranged while I am away. If you are coming into the church, I would suggest that you call ahead, just to make sure that we aren’t out running errands, etc.
We are still targeting September 12 as our reopening date for in-person worship. We will also continue live streaming our worship services as the Kamloops United Church online community reaches far and wide.
Blessings for a wonderful summer,
Michael
