KUC Reopening Plans
Council Circle, in conjunction with the KUC Worship Committee, has decided that we will not reopen for public worship until Sunday September 12 which seems to be in line the the provincial guidelines. Traditionally, this has been known as “Rally Sunday,” the Sunday of the church year when we were back from vacations and settling in to our fall routines, with children off to school. All being well with case counts, and we can reopen according to Dr. Henry’s plan, what a Rally Sunday this will be! It will be a time when we can come together in our Sanctuary and see our friends again.
For the month of June, we will continue live streaming the services for 10 am on Sundays and available on YouTube after that. For July and August, the services will be pre-recorded. They will be posted to the Kamloops United Church YouTube page on the particular Sunday. (Note that the June 20 service, commemorating Indigenous Peoples Sunday will also be pre-recorded.). All of our office and ministry staff will be taking time off at one point or another during July and August and pre-recording greatly helps us with scheduling and workload. It also gives our wonderful team of broadcasters and sound people a break before we head into the fall.
So, please mark your calendar for Sunday September 12 and be sure to join us for a service of praise and thanksgiving.
