A Visual Response
On Monday June 7, 2021, in response to the tragic discovery at Tk’emlups of the unmarked graves of 215 children, several members of the KUC Reconciliation Exploration Circle joined the initiator of this response to tie 215 orange ribbons on the KUC handrail. Thanks to Bill Paul, KUC’s Lead Custodian, who initiated and facilitated this project.
The colour orange honours those Indigenous children who endured abuse including those who attended the Kamloops Indian Residential School.
