To access the livestream of this week’s service, please go to Worship – Sunday May 2, 2021 and click on the service.
**Note – this Sunday we are celebrating communion. In order to participate, we invite you to have something to eat and something to drink prepared.
This Sunday we are kicking off the month when we are celebrating 25 years as an Affirming community of faith. Affirming means radical inclusion. This Sunday is also Red Dress Sunday and we will be having a Metis elder lead us in prayer and a Metis social worker talk to us about this day. Thank you to the KUC Reconciliation team for organizing this. (for more information on Red Dress Sunday see below.)
The scripture passage this week is from the book of Acts when the disciple Philip meets the Ethiopian eunuch who asks Philip to baptize him. Watch the service to see how this encounter speaks to us today. The contemporary interpretation title is When All Are Welcome.
Tomas Bijok will be leading us in music. He will be joined by Rachel Caspioni who will be singing a solo Come, Won’t You Dance? which is a new communion hymn. Marg Waldon will be playing Bach Revisited by Arthur Wildmann as an organ postlude.
Once again, we are delighted that the congregation of Revelstoke United Church is joining us in worship.
We look forward to seeing you by livestream!
