This Sunday we continue in the Season of Easter when church services traditionally look at the impact of the resurrection upon the early followers of Jesus. We will be considering the reactions of doubting Thomas who would not believe Jesus was resurrected. Then Jesus appeared to Thomas. The contemporary interpretation title is So that You may Come to Believe
Sunday, we will continue the theme Dare to Dance Again. During this time of COVID it seems like we have been weathering one huge storm. Think of Gene Kelly dancing in the movie Singing in the Rain. Because of the resurrection of Jesus, as Christians, we can dare to dance again. In the face of the storms of life we know that we join in dances of hope, justice and love in our world. See the video trailer for this second week of the Easter season.
Tomas Bijok will be leading us in worship. Marg Waldon will be playing Adaptation on “Victory” by Giovanni P. Da Palestrina as an organ postlude. Cheryl Rice will be tap dancing for us. Certainly a service to celebrate by dancing!
Once again, we are delighted that the congregation of Revelstoke United Church is joining us in worship. We are also extending a welcome to Castlegar United Church this Sunday
We look forward to seeing you by livestream!
