Sunday, March 7 (YouTube recording)
To access the livestream of this week’s service, please go to Worship – Sunday March 7, 2021 and click on the service.
This Sunday is the Third Sunday of Lent. This year, our theme for Lent is “Holy Vessels” and our symbol for Lent is sea glass. In this week’s service, the call to worship is from a quote by Marcia McFee:
People began to gather around Jesus as his reputation became known from town to town. As we gather virtually or physically, we too are yearning for presence, for peace, for help. We continue our Lenten “season of recovery” as we focus on health as essential to our spiritual lives.
A question for this Lent is where do we see God taking the broken and shattered areas of our lives and helping us to refine and beautiful our lives through the challenges that we face in life?
The Scripture this week looks at Jesus healing two blind men. The story seems to revolve around their strong belief that Jesus can heal them. The question for the modern believers today is whether we believe that Jesus can heal us?
Tomas Bijok will be leading in music, accompanied by Rachel Casponi. Gordon Britton will be playing an organ postlude.
Once again, we are delighted that the congregation of Revelstoke United Church is joining us in worship.
We look forward to seeing you by livestream!
Every service broadcast from Kamloops United Church requires a number of people working in the background, all adhering to strict COVID protocols. We want to say a special word of thanks to our Broadcasters and Sound Persons who make the livestream possible.
