This Sunday is the second Sunday of Lent. This year, our theme is “Holy Vessels” and our symbol for Lent is sea glass. In this week’s service, the call to worship is from a quote by Marcia McFee:
People began to gather around Jesus as his reputation became known from town to town. As we gather virtually or physically, we too are yearning for presence, for peace, for help. We continue our Lenten “season of recovery” as we focus on health as essential to our spiritual lives.
A question for this Lent is where do we see God taking the broken and shattered areas of our lives and helping us to refine and beautiful our lives through the challenges that we face in life?
The Scripture this week looks at Jesus healing a centurion’s servant What does healing mean to us today? As part of this, we explore how a sense of entitlement can be detrimental to our personal healing.
Tomas Bijok will be leading in music, accompanied by Rachel Casponi.
Once again, we are delighted that the congregation of Revelstoke United Church is joining us in worship.
We look forward to seeing you by livestream!
**Communion next Sunday, March 7.
