In these pandemic times, we can swing between complex emotions: disappointment, helplessness and gratitude and hope. The book of Psalms in the Bible knows all about this. Over the next seven weeks, the Psalms will accompany us as we are all reminded that God is holding each one of our lives.
Today we will be considering the poetry of Psalm 139.
The poet in this evocative psalm explores several vital questions:
How do I find peace of mind?
How do I find this peace, in the midst of so much injustice?
How do I live into this peace in turbulent and confusing times?
What mystery do I sense at the center of my life?
What connects me to my past, my present and my future?
How am I interconnected with everything?
Who am I in my true self?
This Sunday, KUC Music Director Tomas Bijok will be providing music leadership. Marg Waldon will be playing the organ postlude.
