This Sunday we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent. The theme for Advent this year is “I believe even when…” This morning we will be lighting the pink candle, the candle of joy. It is thought to be a symbol of the joy which Mary felt when she knew that she would be having a baby. The Gospel lesson this Sunday recounts the appearance of the angel to Mary and Mary’s response to knowing that she was going to be a mother. A good way to join us is to have your own candle ready to light during the service. We will be considering the theme, “I believe in Joy Coming from God” and the sermon title is “The Song of Mary.”

Tomas Bijok will be providing music. Joy Now in Every Place and Joyful, Joyful, We Adore You are two of the pieces he will be singing. Marg Waldon will provide the postlude on the organ.
