Minister’s Message
Even though the Kamloops United Church Building remains closed, we are continuing the PIT Stop (People in Transition Program) and I want to thank those who, this past week, packed 350 gift baskets. Sunday is our annual PIT Stop Christmas Dinner, however this year, the meal will be take out. Rick and his team of wonderful volunteers are planning to serve 350 meals. This is a vital program of our church.
In addition, Patric is managing the online sales of some items donated to the Thrift Shop. This has had an excellent outreach into the community. Thank you Patric.
Also a big thank you to Jan who made nearly 300 ornaments of hope for the Christmas Giving Tree. If you are on the KUC mailing list, you should be receiving a letter with your ornament as well as an envelop to give to the Giving Tree as well as giving a Christmas offering to our congregation. The local, national and international charities that we are giving to this year are: the Kamloops Canadian Mental Health Association, the 50+Club of the Our Place Society in Victoria and the Plant an Olive Tree in Palestine program. Thank to you the Global Committee for arranging this. As we cannot hang the ornaments on the tree in the sanctuary this year we ask you to take a picture of you hanging it on your own tree or holding the ornament.

The sanctuary renovations continue. You may have noticed on the livestream of worship that the new floor is nearly complete. Last week we added the stained glass to the windows on either side of the cross and thank you to Don Waldon for making two banner stands.
Blessings,
Michael
