Welcome to Sunday Worship Livestream, Nov.22
To access the livestream of this week’s service, please go to Worship – Sunday November 22, 2020 and click on the service.
This Sunday is known as Reign of Christ Sunday. This day was instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925 as Christ the King Sunday. The pope was concerned about two things he saw in society. First, he saw the raging materialism in the United States during the roaring twenties and he was concerned about the spirit of people in Europe as they rebuilt after the first world war. He felt that a Sunday to remind people that God was in control of the world would address these concerns.
This Sunday we will also be remembering the Transgender Day of Remembrance (see below for more info on this).
Dr. Caveney will be preaching a sermon entitled “Let’s See Him” based on Matthew 25. Tomas Bijok, Kamloops United Music Director will be providing the music with a solo “Rainbow People” and Dan Hines, Spiritual Coordinator will be the reader and leading in the prayers of the people.
We look forward to seeing you by livestream!

Jesus on the Streets shared by George Johnson
Here is a thought-provoking article on the Homeless Jesus sculpture created by a Canadian artist, Timothy Schmalz. It strikingly shows how our faith can provide an alternative perspective on social reality.
