“Crowdsourcing for Worship”
Dear Friends, Once again, we are back in a lockdown as far as worship is concerned. I want to thank our sound and broadcast people for this morning’s service. With each Sunday, I believe our livestream worship is improving. If you missed this morning’s service, click here to see it: Worship Service for November 22, 2020 Leading worship, I find it very strange to be speaking to a camera in an empty room. I have been wondering how we can better feel the warmth of our Kamloops United community during worship; to know that we are not alone even though we might be the only one worshipping as we watch the service. I have come up with something I am calling “crowdsourcing for worship.” Over the next while, until we can be back worshipping in the church, from time to time, I am going to put out requests for things that you can do to contribute to a community feeling in worship. Here is my first request: would you get someone to take a picture of you lighting a candle and then email it to me. We will use these in our Blue Christmas livestream and for the Christmas Eve livestream. Won’t it be great, in this way, to see our friends we would normally be worshipping with! Thank you and blessings, Michael |
