Minister’s Message for Thanksgiving
Minister’s Message
It seems, that even during this time of Pandemic, I have much for which to be thankful. I am sure that you have a list of things you are thinking of with which you have been blessed. From the earliest of times, it has seemed natural to give thanks to the Creator at this time of year as the harvests are gathered in. Even in this time of COVID19, we still enjoy the bounty of the richness of the earth. Yes, I give THANKS.
However, there is a second part to the word: GIVING. It has always seemed to me that as we give thanks, we should also be giving. How can we give out of the bounty which we have? For each and everyone of us it will be something different because each one of us is blessed by the Creator God in a different and unique way. How can we use our time, our talents, and our resources to share our blessings with others? Perhaps this fall is a time look at our stewardship, our care of that which has been given to us.
On a note of thanksgiving…I would like to thank those who have decorated the church for Thanksgiving. The harvest decorations look wonderful and will add so much to our worship on Sunday!
Blessings to you and your loved ones this Thanksgiving weekend.
Michael.
