I have lots to say about how fantastic the Sanctuary Chairs are! Their neutral color, sturdiness and stackable function are very hard to replace. Sure they are hard and not flashy, they are functional worker bee chairs. I have done lots of research into chairs and the sturdy flexibility of these ones are hard to replace. In addition the cost to replace them would be… well more than our Sanctuary budget can afford.
HOWEVER, our custodial staff has come up with a way to replace the foam in the back and seat. I will confess that I did not think this was possible but Jim has found a way. He will take out the fasteners and add new foam. In the process he will clean up any scuffs on the wood and put the chair back together again. I sat in our tester chair and it is a world of difference. Definitely cush for the tush and beauty for the back! This will take time to redo all of our 200+ chairs but we can’t beat the cost and the new life for our fabulous worker bee chairs!
Marie Allen has approved the chairs, and will be looking forward to using them during worship. But says she will miss wearing her pj’s on a Sunday morning!
