Recognize Janeen?
For those of you who attend the “World Day of Prayer” service (a global, ecumenical movement of Christian women joined together to observe a common day of prayer each year) on Friday, March 6th, there is an opportunity to also get to know one of our KUC congregants a little better.
Each year, a different country writes the service materials. This year, the writing country is Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe has a special place in Janeen’s heart. She, along with her husband Johs (pronounced Yos) visited Zimbabwe when Johs, a medical doctor, covered for 6-week furloughs for the Canadian doctor working at the Salvation Army Mission Hospital there.
Janeen has many articles from her 3 “visits” to Zimbabwe; items she and Johs purchased and many they received as gifts. Janeen will have a variety of her Zimbabwe “treasures” on display at the World Day of Prayer service. Should you ask, she’ll likely share some of her precious memories, too.
There are two WDoP services in Kamloops:![]()
Two Services:
