The way the KUC cookie crumbled.
The 2019 KUC Christmas Cookie Walk has ended and what fun we had!
The kitchen has been buzzing with volunteers for 2 weeks with a total of 70 volunteers involved in the kitchen, boxing orders and, on the last day, distributing orders.
Some volunteers did multiple hours….some were friends of KUC members….some were new to KUC and found this cookie walk an excellent way to meet people. Then there were the young people who were the children, grandchildren and friends of the young adults, that volunteered for the making of the peanut butter snowballs. This was a fun day led by Barb Hollingshead.
There were many people who worked behind the scenes making cookies that were sold the day of the pre- ordered sales.
In all the cookie walk was a great fund raiser but also a way to reconnect with old friends…make new friends and generally the event had a great feeling of community.
