PIT Stop 2019 Christmas Dinner (photos)
Letter from Rick Windjack, PIT Stop Coordinator to the volunteers who served Christmas Dinner to PIT Stop guests on December 8, 2019: “Our annual PIT Stop Christmas Dinner was a great success ….Well, actually, that’s quite a bit of an understatement!
The tradition of Kamloops Rotary Daybreak hosting the PIT Stop Christmas dinner is a heartfelt gift to our community every December. Once again today, our dining halls were filled with laughter, music, smiles, love and genuine caring.
In less than one hour, Rotary Daybreak served a wonderfully delicious, hearty and substantial dinner to 457 thankful, well fed and happy guests. The planning, preparing, prepping, and cooking took hours upon hours, but the result was pretty amazing.
Thank you to everyone that wore their hearts on their sleeves and made this day happen.
To all the students at Aberdeen Elementary, the Interact members, Kamloops Rotary Club members, Margit Sky, Kamloops Reach, and every friend, parent, and volunteer that worked so hard…Thank You. What a great community we have.”
