Here is some important information about our special organ which I hope will answer some questions that have been asked.

We presently have 4 pupils discovering how to play the organ. Free lessons are provided by Marg Waldon and Gordon Britton as a “thank you” to the church and community for generously supporting the Organ Fund.  We wish to express our gratitude and thanks to Marg and Gordon for this amazing gift of their time and talent.

We did have a scary experience of the organ becoming ‘soundless’ but our Western representative for Allen organs came as soon as possible -he was in Peru when we called. Within 10 minutes he had the problem fixed – 2 tiny switches had been shut off inadvertently.  We were able to meet and even exceed our original funding goal for the purchase of the organ, so some funds are available for maintenance in the future, although we do have a 10 year guarantee on this beautiful organ.

Just a reminder that there will be an opportunity  for a Christmas sing along with the organ and piano at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 21^stas well as an organ recital featuring several local organists in February.  This instrument is being well used and we are very thankful for the fine support of our congregation and community.
