Sat. Oct. 26 ~ Intuitive Painting
Kamloops United Church ~ a Centre for Community and Spiritual Discovery invites you to:
Finding Peace and Purpose Through Intuitive Painting
“I help participants achieve creative clarity and holistic fulfilment
as they play in the wonder and joy of paint.”
Workshop Date: Oct. 26
Facilitator – Dawn Burn, Painter (See bio below.)
About This Workshop:
This three-hour workshop is offered as an Access Point to Intuition. Participants will experience creativity as a heart-centred practice that is accessible to all with the following benefits:
The Benefit to You:
• Feeling an Aligned Sense of Purpose. You will be able to identify the difference between
heart-centred responses, versus the overthinking of the judgmental mind. The difference will feel like Inspiration, Creative Inquiry, and Creative Wonder, producing expansive results, versus Self-Doubt, Fear, and Second-Guessing, producing contracted results.
• Self Awareness. As a participant, you will gain awareness of your own mental blocks. You will
see the patterns of your thinking.
• Changing Patterns of “Stuck” Thinking. This workshop will allow you to be able to name the
blocks that stand in the way of your creative progress.
• Confident Decision Making. As a participant, you will be able to align the mind with the heart to
create your own choices for creatively inspired decision making:
• Art has a language of Elements and Principles of Design to understand the process, and
to analyze results, but creativity at its source relies on intelligences that are primarily
sensory. You will learn to be more reflexive in your responses. This will include
welcoming “mistakes” as creative opportunities for growth that you had not foreseen.
The Outcome of the Workshop Experience:
Joyful Recognition. We are all born creative. In this workshop you will have sparked that joyful place that is free from judgement and conditioning, to enable further growth.
You will take home your painted canvas, samples of your process, a notation for self-reflection, and handouts of the Elements and Principles of Art. Everyone will experience group critiques and 1:1 feedback.
Fee: The value of this workshop is $125 per person. However, your commitment for this particular date will be $30 for supplies.
9:00 am to noon, $30.00
