Exemplary Service Awards
The City of Kamloops hosted a wonderful celebration of outstanding service by volunteers in our community. On April 10, two Freedom of the City awards were presented, and seven Exemplary Service Awards to people who continue to make our community such a dynamic, committed and caring place to live. Many of those who were guests came away feeling how happy they are to have been raised here or have chosen to live in Kamloops and feeling so much gratitude to the nine award recipients for making it so.
Quoting from Kamloops This Week: “The award formally acknowledges individuals who have dedicated their time and service in an effort to make a difference in our community.” (April 10, 2019) The Freedom of the City awards were presented to Doug Collins and Patricia Wallace, and the Exemplary Service Awards to Tyson Andrykew, Lisa Fuller, Cheryl Kabloona, Lisa Lake, Andrew Yarmie, and Kirstin McLaughlin a good friend of KUC and Penny Douglass a member of our congregation.
We extend our congratulations to Penny and Kirstin. Enjoy the photos of some special moments at the ceremonies.
