Condolences for Muslim Community
Condolences by the Lead Minister with the New Zealand Mosque Shootings.
On behalf of the Kamloops United Church community I want to offer the Kamloops Islamic Association and all the members of the Ayesha Mosque our deepest and most sincere condolences at this terrible time. It is a time of incredible heartache and sorrow for the families and friends of those who were slaughtered and for all Muslims in the wake of this horrific act of terror and Islamophobia. This attack is also against humanity as well. All of us need to stand up to these violent acts of hate in a spirit of solidarity, justice and love. Our unity in our diversity is our strength.
At Kamloops United Church, we will hold the Kamloops Islamic Association and all our Muslim neighbours in our Sunday worship prayers.
In Peace and Friendship,
Rev. Bruce Comrie
Lead Minister, Kamloops United Church
