PIT Stop Christmas Dinner/Party (photos)
P.I.T. Stop and Rotary Daybreak provided our 2018 annual PIT Stop Christmas Dinner on Dec.9th. As is tradition, Kamloops Rotary Daybreak provideed the food and all the people-power to cook and serve an amazing “turkey and all the trimmings” dinner. The reputation for this meal is that it is absolutely spectacular – delicious and generous! Even Santa came to the meal!
In addition to that, wanting to make sure that every guest had a meaningful and helpful gift bag including both items of necessity and treats and gifts, to take with them, the community gave generously! Thank you!
For four years now, the students from Mr. Powrie & Miss Clarke’s classes at Aberdeen Elementary School have been spectacular in their support of the PIT Stop Gift Bag campaign. They collect box after box of items that we need. They make posters, they hand make Christmas cards and they supply all the people-power to fill the bags. Then, at the annual Christmas Dinner/Party event they very deservedly become Santa’s elves and personally make sure that EVERY guest that comes to dinner, gets a bag! Mr. Powrie & Miss Clarke are tremendous role models for these fine students and we can only imagine how very proud these students’ parents must be! Enjoy the photos! (and thanks to Derm for the photos)
