The “on loan” Allen organ was showcased to a full sanctuary on Sunday evening, including visits from “the phantom & Christine” from “Phantom of the Opera”, and a “Stormtrooper and Darth Vader” from “Star Wars”. Also in attendance for this entertaining “soiree” was the Western Canada Allen Organ representative, Brian Thompson, aka “The Organ Guy”.
One of the unique experiences of this special evening was Joyful, Joyful we adore You Tune – “Hymn to Joy” by Ludwig van Beethoven. This particular organ and trumpet arrangement was written for this Organ Soirée by Dubravko Pajelic. Gail Ovington played the Allen “English Cathedral” pipe organ sound library and the trumpet was played by Rob Hogoveen. The audience participated joyfully and exuberantly!
