RibFest: a PIT Stop Benefactor
“I am enclosing a message from Tony Gilbert of Kamloops Rotary Daybreak. They are in need of volunteers to help with the upcoming RibFest weekend. The Rotary Clubs of Kamloops are very important to PIT Stop and I am taking the liberty of emailing you in case you might be able to help out at any point. PIT Stop has the most wonderful volunteers in our community and it would be greatly appreciated if we could assist with a few shifts. If you do message RibFest, could you kindly cc me as well? Thanks in advance everyone! “ Signed: Rick W., KUC Pit Stop Coordinator.
“Hi there, we thought we would reach out to the many organizations that Kamloops Daybreak Rotary has helped financially in the last few years, to seek your help with our annual Ribfest event August 10-12th. We are greatly in need of more volunteers. Your organization and many others benefit from the funds we raise annually at this event but without the help of volunteers the events success is limited.
We would ask if you can reach out to those in your organization and also your family/friends to see if they can take on 1 or 2 shifts during this year’s event. Shifts are 3-4 hours. We need help in many areas from the beer gardens to rib running. Attached are more details.
We host two volunteer orientations prior to the event to give you an overview of everything you need to know. They are at 7 pm July 31st and August 8 at the Colombo Lodge in basement at the back. You can also sign up to volunteer at one of these orientations if you don’t want to do it via the link below.
With that said, sign up is quick and easy:
- Click on this link if not working hit ctrl + click: https://www.kindnessconnect.com/kamloops-sports-council/2018Ribfest/ to create an account
- Hit ‘Apply Now’ to login, then select your shifts from the calendar and answer the questions.
Thanks so much for helping us out it simply spreads the work load out which is very important. Any questions feel free to reach out to me via email or my cell which is 250-318-3533.
Regards,
Tony Gilbert
