Burrowing Owls in BC with Dawn Brodie,Retired Field Director BUOW Conservation Society of BC was the featured program at the March UCW meeting.  It was a fabulous presentation!  The beautiful little owl who nests in underground burrows is an endangered species.  We heard about the incredible work by the Burrowing Owl Society of BC and heard about their recent partnership with the Upper Nicola Band to successfully introduce fledglings raised in captivity to the Band’s grassland range. It was an honour and a hoot (!) to hear the story.
