Theresienstadt (now Terezin) is located near Prague in the Czech Republic. It was Nazi concentration camp like no other.Filled with people who suffered great loss, indignity and brutality it served in part as a transit point to the death camps in the East.Although tens of thousands perished within the fortress walls, the human spirit could not be defeated.
Vera will speak to the courage and bravery of those who fought back and why knowing these stories is so important and relevant today.
