The annual Camp Grafton fundraiser at Kamloops United was held August 11th at the church. Good food, fellowship and a camp fire (sort of). We celebrated the end of another successful summer of camping thanks to the wonderful staff and leaders as well as the enthusiastic campers and their families. Once again a summer storm took down a tree and once again it landed on a building. The campers were kept safe in the strong dining hall building, but had to return to their homes the next day thus missing their week of camping. The Grafton Society Board of Directors made the decision to have quite a few identified at risk trees removed. Members of the congregation were generous with their financial donations towards “camperships” this past year. Thank you to everyone who makes camping possible and magical for the young campers.
