Push for Change: Breakfast Aug1 @KUC
The Push for Change is coming to Kamloops. A Way Home is hosting a breakfast by donation and an opportunity to hear Joe Roberts speak. The amazing community meal will be presented by Kamloops PIT Stop. Funds raised will support Making the Shift and A Way Home Kamloops.
Joe Roberts is a formerly homeless youth who lived on the streets of east Vancouver. He made a promise that if he ever escaped his fate, he would do something to pay it forward. The Push for Change is his promise realized. Beginning May 1, 2016 Joe began pushing a shopping cart, (a symbol of chronic homelessness) across Canada on a 517 day, 9000 km trek to raise awareness and funds to prevent youth homelessness. Come be inspired as you hear Joe share his story, and learn the importance of investing in the prevention of youth homelessness.
