We are pleased to welcome Mitchel Balmer to the custodial team.
Mitchel is a long time Kamloops resident. He has traveled with work to other parts of BC and Alberta but always finds his way back home to the beautiful city of Kamloops.
Mitchel has his Custodial Service Worker L1 Certification as well as his First Aid L1 and is glad to be moving into this line of work. He is excited to be here at Kamloops United Church and looks forward to strengthening the newfound relationships with its members and community.
As a younger brother to his older sister and with strong relations to both her and his mother, he adamantly believes in family values and the ties that bind them. He recently became an uncle and is vicariously learning the love, joy and exhaustion that a new person can bring to the world.
Mitchel’s work history has been varied and colourful. From acting in drama productions to constructing and laying pipe in the middle of Albertan winter and from being a manager at a restaurant to a warehouse worker. From volunteering at the local SPCA to the Children’s Art Festival, he assiduously enjoys utilizing all the knowledge and skills he’s acquired over the course of his career to bring a unique energy with him wherever he goes.
