The Global and Community Action Team of Kamloops United Church hosts a fundraiser every year and invites you to help decorate the Christmas Tree in the sanctuary throughout Advent.  This year, the theme of the tree is “Peace”.  What wish for peace do you have here at Home?  Across Canada?  Around the World?  Please write your message on the back of the Peace ornament provided and hang it on the tree.

If you wish to make a donation please use the designated envelopes provided and place it in the offering stand, or drop it by the office.  Thank you for your generosity.

This year our emphasis is on caring for children, youth, and families. We have picked three recipients to share equally in any funds raised from the Tree of Peace – one local, one national and one international.  They are as follows:

Local – Camp Grafton 2017 Camperships
National –   Indigenous Youth Empowerment Workshop – From the United Church Gifts With Vision Catalogue, page 15
International –   School Fees for War-Affected Children in the Democratic Republic of Congo – From the United Church Gifts with Vision Catalogue, page 8.
