Members of St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral are hosts for March 2nd at Kamloops United Church. The speaker will be from the Sikh Community in Kamloops.
On Wednesday evenings (5:30-7:30pm) during Lent, the United, Lutheran, and Anglican churches of Kamloops invite you to come out and build community!
We will join together weekly for a simple supper, conversation, and a presentation by a leader from among our local faith communities. Our time together will be communally hosted: each week the series location will be located at Kamloops United Church, Hills of Peace Lutheran Church, or Mt. Paul United Church as we hear from leaders in the Muslim, Jewish, First Nations, Sikh, and Unitarian communities. We are excited to share this opportunity with you and look forward to your sense of positivity and curiosity.
Admission will be by donation to RAFT – Refugees and Friends Together – to assist with the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the Kamloops/Thompson area.
Please note that each gathering needs to be scent free. There are persons in our congregations who have severe allergic reactions to scents that require medical attention. Let’s make each gathering safe and welcoming for everyone.
Watch for the posters indicating the locations where we will meet each Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
