Wéytk Wednesdays: Dec. 16: 7 pm
Wéytk Wednesdays
Wéytk is a Secwepemctsin (Eastern Dialect) word of the Secwepemc People and translates to the English “hello.” Wéytk Wednesdays will be held once per month at Kamloops United Church on the third Wednesday unless otherwise announced. These events will be varied and will include guest speakers, circle gatherings, workshop formats or audio visual presentations.
Our first event will be December 16th at 7 PM. We will have as a guest speaker Frank Antoine. Frank is the cultural director at the Quaaout Lodge. He also does a lot of youth mentoring and appreciates telling stories. He will share with us some of his life journey. This is an informal circle gathering. All are welcome. There is no admission fee.
