Cookie Walk 2015 Appreciation
Thank you cannot come close to expressing my appreciation to all who helped with this year’s Christmas Cookie Sale. We had 6 Cookie Coordinators (Rose, June, Patricia, Sharon, Donna and Linda), a Computer Guru (Kathy), our Official Photographer (Patricia), as well as 61 volunteers who filled 129 shifts.
They measured, mixed, shaped and froze cookie dough, then returned to bake and package the cookies. A crew packed the orders Friday morning, cleaned the kitchen thoroughly (including defrosting the freezer), and assisted with front door reception and cookie distribution Friday afternoon.
Collectively, including the folk who contributed baking from home, we made approximately 962 dozen cookies, tarts and squares. We had preorders for 609 dozen, sold over 250 dozen more Friday afternoon and at Sunday coffee hour, and were able to gift over 90 dozen cookies to brighten Christmas for others.
Our profit, that goes to the general fund of the church budget, is $3835.58 Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. What did we do right? How can we improve? Should we do another Christmas Cookie Sale in 2016? If so, what format should it take? Would you be willing to assist? Please give your written feedback to Barb Hollingshead, either via e-mail, or in a note Sunday morning. Thank you!
