This event is scheduled for Dec. 5 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM in the sanctuary.
It will offer participants an opportunity to experience the history of indigenous peoples in Canada covering a time line of over 500 years. Participants will be directed by facilitators and are drawn into the experience by reading scrolls and carrying cards which ultimately determine their outcomes. Standing on blankets that represent the land, you will walk through pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization and resistance. This interactive learning experience will be followed by a talking circle feedback session.
All are welcome!
