Fall 2015 Council Circle Report
… our fall work began with a day long visioning session called Focus Forward
… moved into a new organizational model.
… welcomed Ian McLean to his 3rd year diaconal ministry training at KUC (Sept.2015 to June 2016..his program being called Building Right Relationships with Aboriginal People.
… Welcomed Alix Dolson as Children/Youth/Families coordinator from Sept.to January 2016
… Approved the appointment of Sharon Huuha as Administrative Manager.
… Assessed our accomplishments and failures in meeting our 2014-2015 objectives.
… Developed 5 objectives for 2015-16 with specific, measureable,relevant goals.

… Supported the installment of a labyrinth….with ongoing thanks to Nina Johnson
… Hosted a church family event called Attitude of Gratitude with grateful thanks to the Vision 429 group, a prayer shawl presentation to our V429 real estate folk and a farewell to Ken and Rose Soneff who soon move to the mainland. A turkey dinner with all the fixings rounded out the evening.
… Encouraged the merger of the Emerging Church and Faith Formation groups with their purpose to be envisioning and implementing our Centre for Community and Spiritual Discovery. This new group has chosen the title “Discovery Circle”.
… Supporting the Refugee Group in sponsoring refugees and doing fund raising.
