‘Building Right Relationships with Aboriginal Peoples’ – Sunday September 13, diaconal student Ian McLean begins a ten month learning placement at Kamloops United Church offering different forums for following up on the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). More information about specific events will be announced at a later time.
KUC All-Ages Camp Gathering at Camp Grafton, Magna Bay – Saturday September 19, from 10am to 4pm, with Alix Dolson, KUC Children, Youth and Families Coordinator. Registration required. See above.
Presentation/Discussion with author Dr. George Johnson – Monday Sept. 21 – 7:00 p.m. George’s book is entitled, ‘Mourning and Mysticism in First World War Literature and Beyond: Grappling with’ Drop-in. Free.
‘Climbing Out of the Valley’ Grief Support Series – Six Wednesdays, Sept. 23 to Oct. 28 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. with Mary Widmer, Bruce Comrie and Pastoral Care members. Registration required by September 16. Suggested Donation: $90.00.
Soup & Sandwich Lunch – begins Wednesday October 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then Nov. 4 and Dec. 2 – same times. Drop-in. Cost for lunch.
‘Painting the Stars’ Living the Questions Series – Seven Tuesdays, October 20 to December 1 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. with Bruce Comrie. Registration required by October 13.
