Rolling Justice Bus: Kamloops: Aug. 24, 30, & 31
The BC KAIROS Rolling Justice Bus (RJB) is an 8-day mobile bus community of creative people passionate about change and justice, initiated by the BC-Yukon KAIROS network.
Travelling through the heartland of BC, we will lift up injustices identified in the communities we visit and nurture seeds of hope along the way.
Our journey will bring us to your neighbourhood on Monday, August 24th and Monday, August 31st. We will be meeting with a group of concerned citizens about mining and environment issues on Monday evening, August 24th, and visiting the Secwepemc museum and getting a tour on Monday morning, August 31st. There are without doubt many conversations we won’t have time for in your community on our visit but we are beginning here. We want to invite you or someone in your church community to come and join us as we listen to these people.
We realize that there is not a lot of lead time to gather people who might be interested to attend and that it is summer and there are many people on holiday. It is our wish that you take this invitation and direct it to a few people who might be interested in joining us for a short visit and see where the spirit moves. We are excited about our journey through the Fraser and Peace River watersheds as we look for new stories of hope and reconciliation. Join us if you can.
You can either reply to Janet Gray at thegrays@shaw.ca or Susan Draper at graceful@shaw.ca if you want more information or would like to join us when we come through your territory. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
You can follow our journey on the KAIROS Canada website blog of the BC Rolling Justice Bus or the BC-Yukon Rolling Justice Bus Facebook page.
