“organized chaos shared”
Day 16- Whatever
The last few weeks have felt hectic to say the least.
At the beginning of our journey I had the idea that I would easily be able to post everyday and that inspiration would always be at hand. I also thought that my suitcase would stay organised and that I would be able to run on three hours of sleep all summer. Needless to say none of those things have happened. As we are given more and more information and continue to move from place to place it becomes more and more difficult to find down time, and when we do find it, its generally spent with the only two things that have been consistent for the last month; our suitcases and our pilgrimage family.
I have had little time to create and post and often find that my brain is too tired to dig up inspiration without help. Most of my drawings over the last two weeks have been doodles in the corners of note books or crayon sketches on tables at restaurants. I have had to find inspiration in other peoples art and in my own past doodles when its hard for me to process everything that has happened on our journey. So much happens in a day that we aren’t able to process it until later and things become too jumbled to even be put on paper without first reflecting on it inwardly.
As our journey draws to a close and the new adventure of General Council begins I want to begin to share some of those jumbled experiences and bits of art that have come out of this.
Because, really, this entire thing is just one big mass of happy, crazy, beautiful, joyful, organized chaos that needs to be shared with the world.
