A wonderful children’s book was read called “God’s Dream”, written by Archibishop Desmond Tutu and Douglas Carlton Abrahms and illustrated by LeUyen Pham. (Used with permission.)
All of us were encouraged to offer pastoral care to others.

Cheryl, leader of the Kamloops United Church Pastoral Care Team, welcomes us to worship.
Ann, a member of the Pastoral Care Team, led us in the “Call to Worship” base on the 23rd Psalm. Later Ann shared on the theme “What Does Pastoral Care Mean to Me”.
Heather M. shared “God’s Dream” with the congregation. We are so grateful to Candlewick Press for the permission granted to Kamloops United Church for this one-time only presentation of God’s Dream at this worship service.
Heather H. read our scripture reading. (Matthew 25: 34 – 40)
Cheryl spoke of “What Pastoral Care Means to Me”, focusing on the educational opportunities and programs around “End of Life” issues and grief work that KUC offers (within KUC and to the wider community).
Arleen, a member of the Pastoral Care team, and a hospital visitor, spoke to the theme “What Pastoral Care Means to Me” and shared the hospital visitors’ brochure.
Jeanne gifted us with a solo ““Standing in the Breath of God” by David Cazier.
Gordon offered music leadership this Sunday.

Marg invited more “colourful prayers” for the origami fish we will be sending to the General Council meeting in Corner Brook, Newfoundland this August.
