THE Final Youthful Energy Gathering of the season will be hosted at Camp Grafton on May 2. All are welcome and invited to join us in unlpugging from our devices, our busy lives, our stress, and plug into nature for the day. There is a certain beauty in the serenity of the outdoors and rain or shine we will be out on the Shushwaps to explore our faith and values once again. You can expect quality time surrounded by lush green environment, time on the beach, campfire, yummy food and freedom from the busy of regular routine. Come be at peace and reflect on the theme of unplug with us, and for Megan’s final leadership of Youthful Energy. YE will return in the fall under new guidance.
We will be departing from Kamloops United Church at 9am and returning back there from Grafton by 5pm. The drive is around 1.5 hours and like all other YE gatherings, we will be providing snacks, a meal and activities free of cost and a casually structured day including personal and group time. In this case the only thing you need to worry about is getting there. Other than that pack for all weather so it is you who decides what your participation is and not the climate.
Camp is appropriate for all ages and abilities and the facilities are mostly accessible with some minor exceptions. If there is something other than scheduling holding you back from coming, let me know and we’ll work it out. For more information about Camp Grafton, check out their website:www.campgrafton.ca
Because this is a bit more challenging to coordinate than our typical town events, you must RSVP ahead of time either by Facebook or email to Megan at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are looking to coordinate ride sharing as well, so if you have space in a vehicle and would be willing to take others out OR are in need of a ride you must respond no later than midnight on April 26.
If you are self sufficient and bringing yourself, friends, family, etc. it would be good to know we are expecting you in order to have proper amounts of food. Please arrive at Grafton by 10:30 am on May 2.
(MAPS will be provided to those driving, as requested)
